Welcome

Welcome, and thank you for visiting Hayden Congregational Church online. We hope that our website highlights the wide variety of worship, fellowship and service opportunities available. Please feel free to read more about our church on this site, or come in for a visit. We would love to greet you and share with you our love for Jesus Christ and for you, our neighbor.

Our Mission

With guidance and help from the Holy Spirit, our mission is to encourage spiritual growth, to worship God together, to build loving relationships among and between our members and community, to invite everyone into harmony with God, to be Christ's humble servants to human need, and to be respectful to God and all creation.

Our Schedule

Worship service is at 10:30 Sunday morning year-round. Our Sunday School follows the school year schedule, meeting September through May.  During the summer months children remain in worship and are each given a special activity bag.

Children and Youth

Communion is served during worship the first Sunday of each month. All youth begin in worship service and then are excused for their learning opportunities.

Ages 6 through 14 are welcome to attend classes. They will be directed to the appropriate classroom for their age as they head upstairs.

A supervised nursery for age birth to 3 years is available as needed.

Service Updates

We worship in-person at 10:30 every Sunday morning.  Join us for fellowship time beginning at 10:00 in the Parish Hall.  See you there!

Our Pastor

Pastor Jane McKune was born in Belleville, Illinois. Prior to moving here in July 2015, she lived in southern Illinois most of her life, with the exception of 10 years (1982-1992) when she lived in Germany, Turkey and Holland.

She shares life with her husband, Butch, and her daughter, Larissa, who lives in Mooresville, NC, with her husband, Scott.

This is Jane's first pastoral call. Previously she served as Director of Children and Youth Ministries at St. Paul UCC in Waterloo, Illinois.

In her free time, she enjoys time with family, traveling, hiking and photography. She is completely loving this chapter in her life here in Hayden and is looking forward to calling this "home" forever.

We invite you to join our mailing list and receive emails we send out with news or special events happening.
